On a rainy evening, I expressed the wish to illustrate books for children. Family and friends told me to give it a go, but no one would contact me with a commission like that. "Why don't you illustrate your own story?" This simple question started an entirly new creative process inside my head and that is when I met Lottie. A kind girl who lives in a lighthouse on a cliff and who has a blue dragon as a friend. I started putting together a mood board, writing a script, creating a storyboard and finally illustrating some concept artwork.
Working on Lottie's story was really exciting. With every brush stroke, I was immersing myself into her world more and more. As Lottie and Blue became part of my life I was also happy to share their adventure with the same family and friends who encouraged me to start the story in the first place. Hopefully one day I will be able to share it with more people!
